Learner Class And Subject Assignment

This process enables the school admin to assign learners to their correct classes and class arms as well as assign subjects to learners. This process can be done individually for a single learner and can also be done in bulk for a group of learners.

Please Note: Before class and subject assignment, it is expected that you have made all corrections necessary on each learner's records in your school.

Here are the steps to assign class, class arm and subjects to a learner individually -

  1. Login to your school admin portal
  2. Click on Learner Management
  3. Click on the Approved learners button
  4. Filter through to find the learner you want to assign class and subject to and click on the action button to the right of that learner’s record on the list. And you will see all possible actions. Then Click on the Assign Class and Subject button as shown below -
  5. All compulsory subjects for that class are assigned to the Learner by default as you can see below.
  6. But first assign the learner to a class arm.
  7. And add subjects to learner.
  8. Declare the amount for that heading and save
  9. But please note that you must first assign subjects to all classes in your school before coming to do this.
  10. When you hit the submit button the Learner is assigned to that class.

Here are the steps to assign class, class arm and subjects to a learner in bulk -

  1. Login to your school admin dashboard.
  2. Click on Learner Management.
  3. CLick on the Approved learners button.
  4. Check the left boxes against the learners you want to assign to the same class arm and click the action button on top to assign them to the class arm you want them to be in as shown below -
  5. Repeat the same process for all learners you want to assign to the same class arm.
  6. When assignment is done, you can still reassign learners to another class incase if you made a mistake. You go through the same process. But once a learner has written exams for even a term and has the result recorded, you will be unable to reassign them again. You will only be able to promote, repeat or exit them.
